Thank you for a wonderful season - start checking back in late April/early May 2009

Are you looking for the best strawberries in West Virginia? Well, you have come to the right place. The Fruity Farm is one of the largest strawberry farms in the Ohio Valley. We are located 6 miles north of Ravenswood, WV on State Route 68. The farm features pre-picked and U-pick strawberries that are generally sold from the end of April to the middle of June.

We sell both the Chandler and Sweet Charlie varieties. Strawberries are picked at the peak of juicy ripeness and do not ripen anymore once picked. Store strawberries in the refrigerator and do not wash them until you are ready to eat them.

We use raised beds and drip irrigation. The raised beds improve drainage. Each raised bed has a drip line, which allows us to water just the roots of the plants. This type of irrigation conserves water, reduces leaf disease, and does not water the weeds!


 

Avoid Disappointment

Please call the farm (304) 273-5001 a day or two ahead of time if you have a big order. It will allow us time to have your strawberries picked for you. Weather conditions and demand will affect availability.
