Hello!  I’m Kim, owner of Critter Sitters.  I haven’t been able to go on vacations or weekend getaways for a few years because I had no one to feed my animals. I realized that there are others in the same situation, so I started Critter Sitters.

Critter Sitters provides in-home horse and pet care as an alternative to boarding your pets, or imposing on family, friends, or neighbors.  By keeping your pets, whether it is a dog, cat or even a horse, in their own familiar surroundings and routine, it makes them more secure and comfortable.  With pet sitting, there is less stress and the animals are not exposed to sickness or diseases.

I have always had a special bond with animals and have had a variety of pets.  I own or have owned:  dogs, cats, horses, cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, hamsters, rabbits, fish, birds, turtles, and iguanas.  I also take care of exotics such as llamas, alpacas, coatimundi, red deer, axis deer, muntjac deer,  pot-bellied pigs, emus, and hybrid & exotic cats.  I am also a certified Red Cross Pet First Aid instructor.

In addition to basic services like providing food, water, medication, playtime, potty breaks, cleaning out the stall and/or litter boxes, and leaving daily notes, Critter Sitters also walks dogs and exercises horses.  Other services included are watering indoor plants, filling outside bird feeders, bringing in the mail and the newspaper, rotating lights, taking out the trash and generally giving the home a “lived in” look.
